For IMAP accounts, Outlook Express is less buggy than Outlook, so you may want to use Express and these instructions:

Setting up a New Account

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. Pull down the Tools menu and click Accounts.
  3. Click the mail tab and follow the screenshots below:
